Built in New York, Simplex Cars were among the finest made in America in their day. This is the Model 50 fitted with a Holbrook toy tonneau body and a 5¾ inch bore and stroke engine which is on display at the Long Island Automotive Museum, Southampton, New York, U.S.A. Scale 1:48

This model is a C9 near mint version with lime green body color and red seats.  The windowed box is in very good condition with some dings and scratches and we grade it C8.

This is the box and model criteria we use:

  • C10 – Mint, no signs of play wear.
  • C9 – Near Mint, hardly any evidence of play wear.
  • C8 – Minor play wear shows but still very presentable.
  • C7 – Average play wear, includes chipping & paint wear.
  • C6 – Heavy play wear, car has excessive chipping but no damage.
  • C5 – Trashed, these are for the kids.
